Hey guys,

What m2 MacBook Air 15" are you guys buying? Can't find many on the market that fit well.

I'm going to start with an Amazon Basics neoprene. They only cost around $10. Once something more appropriate is released, I'll move to that.

If anyone manages to track down any decent quality leather sleeves for this thing, please post them here. I'm not seeing any cases/sleeves anywhere online.

Good luck, I'm still trying to find M2 Air cases for a 13 inch that fit snug. All of the "compatible" ones have an inch or more of wiggle room.

just ordered the MBP 15.5" case (amazon basics) and I will let you know how it goes. Not too worried as it was a whopping $11.00.

The "Nidoo" 13-14 and 14 inch sleeves are of OK quality, cheap and fit pretty good.

The 13-14 is a super tight fit, and the 14 has 1 cm or so slack in one direction.

I got the Comfyable and it fits the 15" Air perfectly. Seems there are two types, one with a felt lining inside and the other with a suede (faux suede?) lining. I got the felt one and it's ever so slightly linty when I take the Air out of the sleeve, so I may swap for the other type and switch colors.

WaterField has put their 15” air bags up as shipping late July.

Edit: whoops thought this was about bags. Forgot cases for laptops is a thing.

Which version did you get? The slim quilted one did not fit the 15 MBA. Thee top seems to be bigger than the bottom since the top fit but stopped fitting 1/3 way.

Ordered a couple of others to see if I can find one that fits. Really liked the quilted one, hopefully they will eventually update the sizes.

I never understood the point of a case for a MacBook and especially not for a MacBook Air. A case for an iPhone makes sense because it will survive a drop... Do you really think any case will save a MacBook falling onto concrete. It's just making it more bulky. Also I've seen what happens to the aluminum when abrasive debris gets between a hard case and the body... It's not pretty.

Not to be confused with a protective sleeve or bag to carry it when not in use. Those are essential IMO

Skins make sense because they offer scratch protection and change the look while not making it bulky.

It's the one for the 2019 16" Model. The marginally larger overall exterior dimensions leave for just a bit of room on top, no real wiggle on the sides. Didn't end up being a deal-breaker for me, maybe Comfyable will make an M2 Air 15"-specific version? I keep the sleeve permanently in the laptop compartment of my backpack to avoid picking up any scratches from the bag material or zippers.
