I agree with the majority of his points here, but I believe he's wrong that 14" MBP has better battery life than the M2 Air? Maybe he's just referring to battery life during heavy CPU loads.

I noticed that too. He may've been comparing 13in M2 MBP to M2 MBA?

Feels lika a good take. Very nice to see someone taking his time before publishing a video. He's obviously tested it way more and spent time to observe and think.

A consumer-focused approach where he's being honest about its features and performance and where they stand vs its price.

The thermal throttling debacle is a big "nothing-burger" while the base SSD is an issue to a degree. Agreed.

That it's the go-to choice of macbook for "almost nobody". I mean... I guess? Like the original Air, this one is a premium highest-performance in the ultralight class. Personally I value that above-all. If you usually lean towards the "Air" because it's the cheapest, the M1 offers more value. Also fair.

Thermal throttling not an issue? When playing games like Tomb Raider at High settings, it performs 50% worse than the M2 13" MBP (with a fan), and it is even slower than the M1 MBA.

See the link below. That sounds to me like somebody at Apple messed up when it becomes slower than the M1 MBA even.

Why do they show the 2020 M1 MacBook Air as faster than the 2020 M1 MacBook Pro in Shadow of the Tomb Raider? Until that discrepancy is explained I think I’ll take their review with a bit of skepticism.
