I hate to be a scaremonger, but I thought I killed my 2019 MacBook Pro's USB-C port when I used one of these 3rd-party adaptors a couple of years ago. It got hot to the touch, made an electrical 'pop' sound when I unplugged it and then the port just stopped working. Fortunately it started working again a couple of days later. I threw that adaptor away. (Basically, don't go for cheap no-name brands for this stuff).
The Anker one looks good and I do trust Anker as a brand. But make sure your MacBook is listed. (I didn't see it there)
Due to my bad experience I'm sticking with first party for stuff like this (even though I hate paying the Apple tax)
