I watched the video you linked and I can’t seem to find the part where he stipulates a noise difference from the non pro at idle? Could you point me in the right direction?YouTuber Luke Miani also took his apart.
Unfortunately for all Apple did to keep it cool, it sounds like there are consequences of stuffing the M2 Pro package in the existing chassis and it's noisier than the non-Pro even at idle.
One curiosity I have is where does the air come in the mini? (intake)
Maybe I'm wrong, but the base looks very closed. All Mac minis have the same airflow; in the bottom and out the back...

Apple understands thermals very well. They simulate thermal performance of their designs for validation before designs go to manufacture. Obviously their design temperatures, while within operating limits for the electronics, are still too high to make you happy. They do push the temperature limits sometimes. That’s fine.Apple love using tiny fans don't they? They could easily fit a bigger fan and make it spin much slower. Oh wait, I forgot Apple doesn't understand thermals.
Can anybody tell if the WiFi, ethernet and BT modules are near each other to cause interference in the M2 series of Mini?First look: Mac mini with M2 Pro
