Hi,

I have a Macbook m2 pro with Ventura 13.2.1. I have been having this issue recently: when the mac is inactive for a few minutes (depending on my settings) the screen should go to sleep by turning black or by activating the screen saver. But when it stays inactive for that period to go to sleep, the computer just turns itself off (not sleep as it should do). I press a button to turn it on after sleep, but it turns on like I have restarted it from the power button and every app that was open before just restarts itself. It does exactly the same thing when you restart the Macbook. I have this issue every time the screen goes black for being inactive for a few minutes. My browser just restarts again and I lose all my previously opened tabs (I use brave). All the programs which are supposed to open during start up open again and I have to close them again.

Can you help please?
Edit: it is also the same always when I close the screen.

Just update your Mac from the settings app. We are now at 13.5.2 those early release issues should be fix
