I am brand new to Mac and need to know the latest thinking on the best way to handle my M2TS (HD video) files in iMovie?

I have been using Handbrake to convert my files to MP4, but even on my Core i7 Macbook Pro, it's still taking a very long time and is made much worse by the fact that I have to select the files for conversion one at a time.

Thanks for any input.

Do any of these threads give you useful information?

You can use the Add to queue button in Handbrake to make a list of files to convert and then hit the Start button to let it transcode over night or so.

Those are helpful, but I was looking to see if there was a consensus answer, because the threads are all over the map.

I know about the Handbrake queue, but adding the files to the queue one at a time takes forever.

Thanks for the reply.
