Hey!
I currently have a Macbook 16 M1 pro which I use to work with logic pro.
I have extra screens and keyboard so I dont use the actual macbook physically and it only sits and take space on the desk.
Im trying to find reviews/benchmarks how the base M4 mac mini compares to a Macbook M1 pro but I cant find any.
Anyone got the base M4 mini and can give some info on how it performs in Logic Pro?
thanks

If you find any reviews link them here (I'll do likewise) bc I'm in the exact same boat. Currently using a 14inch M1 Pro MBP 16/512GB that's permanently in clamshell mode nowadays...👍

From Max Tech on youtube. Tho it seems the M1 mini has 8 cores compared to 10 on the M1 MBP.
Now trying to find actual video/audio how noisy or not this machine is.

I think this has comparative tests of devices from across all generations of M chips. I think for purely CPU based tasks, the base M4 should be better, especially for single core driven tasks. but I think the GPU in the M1 Pro is still a little bit better. The M4Pro is a whole different story.

Around 4:30 he does comparison between M4 base and Pro in Logic. Seems insane the performance

I just quoted one comment under the video, I agree.

Excellent testing video and analysis. The M4 Pro is clearly for those high-end professionals with no time to lose. High end pressure news reporting, movies/documentary sets with a tight filming budget, and Machine learning on a professional level.

The regular M4 Mac Mini seems to best for those without tight timelines.
