Same prices over at Costco. However, you get a 2 year warranty at Costco unlike with Amazon. The extra year warranty is worth paying the $65 Costco membership fee if you're not already a member, IMO.

The base 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro 16/512 is also on sale... $1,399.99 from Costco (plus an extra year warranty).

Prices good until Dec. 2, 2024

Amazon is price matching Costco ($1,474.00 - $74.01 coupon):

What is everyone's favorite color iMac?
Green for me - in the previous version I preferred the blue

Does Apple do black Friday deals on the iMacs usually? I'm also going to order one and have a 100 $ gift card to apply but would be nice to have an additional discount :)

Damn is this a good price. You can't really get better value than this.
I couldn't find a comparable PC with this price or configuration with M1, and still can't find one today with M4.

Just the screen, I haven't really found anything comparable in PCs. I downgraded to a matte 4K display when I bought my Mac Mini M2 Pro, tried upgrading with two different $2,000 displays in 2024 and wasn't satisfied.
Even the webcam. I have the latest MX Brio 4K from Logitech, and I thought the one in my M1 iMac looked better (less noisy).
And the speakers. I now have 2 Bose speakers in front of me, and the iMac speakers were comparable if I remember well.

My four port 8gb m1 iMac still flies. When will it be worth upgrading for someone like me who doesn't do video editing or photoshop or anything extensive at all? Lol.

many credit cards also double warranty up to one year.

It used to be that the iMac was clearly a better deal than a similarly equipped Mac mini, but it's a bit muddier now that the base Mac mini has the full-fat 10-core chip, and the base iMac only has the 8-core. To get the same performance, one would have to bump up to the $1,499 (original price) iMac, which is a $900 jump. One could get comparable keyboard (sans TouchID), mouse, and webcam to the iMac for maybe $100-150, which leaves the monitor. Whether or not a 24" retina is worth it over a (for example) 27" 1440p or 4k display is another question - each of those could be had for significantly less than the difference in price, even with the iMac on sale.

I would upgrade when your current iMac is too slow or doesn't do what you need or want to do.
