Hubby has just purchased an M4 Pro Mac Mini. It works fine with his Dell monitor using either HDMI or DVI. It does not work with a Hazro monitor which only has DVI. We have tried DVI to HDMI cables and dvi to USB C cables. Both just produce a black screen. Do we need some kind of converter? I don’t understand why the Dell works through DVI but not the Hazro. The Hazro works fine with a Windows PC.

Can anyone please help since we don’t fancy having to pay out for a new monitor. Thanks.

I'm not sure if the info I offer will help, but...

There are several types of DVI connectors. I'm wondering if that may be a factor here:

There's something called "dual-link DVI".
If that's what your display requires, perhaps a change of cable for the Mac may be needed?

I'm thinking that the PC may not be as "sensitive" to the cable as is the Mini.
I could be wrong about all of the above...
