M4 Mac Mini Storage Upgrade Boards on Aliexpress?

I am not 100% sure but I think a store on Aliexpress is selling storage boards with the nand already soldered on them. They also have blank storage boards for the Mac Studio. The prices are higher than what I would like but still much cheaper than Apple. I sent them a message to verify if it is what I think it is and I am waiting for a response. Here is a link.

I’m thinking the higher price selection is the complete board and the lower price is just for a NAND chips. This is interesting. I wonder if it would cause any alarms in the OS for encryption.

Yes, that is what I’m thinking also. I sent them a message for confirmation but they have not responded yet. They also made a video showing the process of upgrading the nand chips on the boards.

Unfortunately, they said they currently do not have an expansion board for the M4 Mac Mini. They only have them for the Mac Studio.

These guys seem to be working on an expansion board for the M4 Mac Mini.

The M4 pro variant of the mini has a different board, right?

I haven’t watched the video yet but I wonder which board they’re working on because as far as I’m aware they’re both different.

EDIT: I see it’s the M4 non pro model board.
