I'm not sure why this is so complicated, but I'm looking for a docking station that will support my M4 Macbook Air being open along with 2 1080p monitors. QHD support be nice but not required.

The new Air supports dual monitors and open display natively without Displaylink, but every single docking station seems to have some ****** caveat like it doesn't have hdmi ports and you need adapters, it requires the displaylink garbage software, or costs like $300, or require both thunderbolt ports to be used at the same time.

Are there any sub $200 docking stations that will offer me a simple single cable solution and have at least two native video ports on it such as HDMI or DisplayPort? I also want a proper docking station with a cable, not just one of those multi-port adapters on a short 1 foot cable.

Would love some help as I've been searching Amazon for like an hour.

You need a Thunderbolt (TB3 or TB4) hub/dock if you want support for more than one native display over a single cable with MBA M4. A used CalDigit TS3 Plus can be had on eBay for well under $150. You would use the DisplayPort port and the USB-C port on the back of the dock, along with any applicable adapters for your displays.
