I have a 16” m4 MacBook Pro and just yesterday the return key randomly got stuck in the pressed position. It seems to still register taps but has seemingly zero key travel. No idea what made it suddenly get stuck pressed?

Any ideas to resolve? Is this covered under warranty? Super annoying!

Take it to the Apple Store. It has a one year warranty by default unless you purchased AppleCare. It’s likely just some debris jamming the key. An easy fix for Apple

Okay can do... annoying that apple store is 45+ min away from me though!

Most of what I see online is where the key is not pressing well, often debris stuck in there... whereas mine is stuck down. Assuming I dunno, a crumb is in there or something... would they charge for that fix?

If still within the 1-yr limited warranty, no charge. If registered for AC+, no charge. Unless you spilled liquid (like soda pop) on keyboard which is causing the key(s) to stick. Liquid damage not covered... you wlll pay, and, yes, they will be able to tell.
