Hi,

I just tested one external SSD connected to rear USB-C, and was getting read/write speeds around 800MB/s,
this is what I'm getting when using front port:

I've noticed that even SD card reader is much slower if connected to front port, how can those front ports be this bad?
Shouldn't the SD be the bottleneck?

Do you guys have the same issue?

I've tried disconnecting all external drives, am I supposed to see USB2 hub in system info?

EDIT:

When looking at NVMEexpress in system report, it shows 2 of my TB4 SSDs, but the one that is in cheaper 10Gbps case doesn't show up there.

What USB enclosure are you using?

How does the SSD and SD card reader appear in the USB tab of System Information.app?
What hub/bus are they connected to?

Apple Silicon Macs are bad at USB. Here's an old thread:

Every USB 3 hub contains a USB 2 hub because USB 3 and USB 2 are totally separate connections - they use different wires in the USB cable.

NVMe devices appear in the NVMExpress tab of System Information.app only if they are connected using PCIe (internally or using Thunderbolt). They may also be listed in the PCI tab of System Information.app.

NVMe devices in a USB enclosure are connected using USB so they should appear only in the USB tab of System Information.app. The USB enclosure uses a USB to NVMe bridge that hides the NVMe interface from the Mac.
