Loving my new M4 Pro Mac mini...12 Core CPU, 24GB, 512GB, hooked up to 2 x LG 32UN650P 4K 60 Hz monitors. If (and a big if) I wanted a third monitor, as I am doing more and more work in FCP, would you buy the same model monitor or perhaps one with a higher refresh rate... such as LG Ultra Gear 32GR93U

Thoughts or alternatives welcome and appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

@Mattyn FCP has a quirk that it can only run 3 monitors if the 3rd one is connected by HDMI (only) and used to display the video stream.
The only exception to this is a Pro XDR Display, which uses Thunderbolt.

It is designed to work at timeline frame rate which is 60fps or lower, and it’s normally a colour calibrated monitor for colour grading.

If not used in this way you can only use 2 monitors with FCP, with the Finder etc on the 3rd.

Pro XDR… sadly not!

I like three LGs to satisfy my OCD, but what would be the recommendation… assuming I don’t want to spend more than the UltraGear?

@Mattyn "I like three LGs..."
Nothing wrong with that, but if you connect the new monitor via HDMI then FCP will fill the screen with the Preview window. Which might mean you need to sit far enough away to view fullscreen on a 32" screen...
