Recently I made the long-awaited switch from my good ol' 15" late-2011 MPB to the 14" M4 Pro MBP. Everything is great so far except the trackpad, which seems a bit disappointing. I mean, it's not bad but it just seems less smooth than the one on my old MBP!

1. Sliding over it doesn't seem as smooth as it was on my previous MBP. Maybe the old trackpad had already become a tad more slippery due to long-term use, but on the new M4 sliding over the trackpad definitely does result in a bit more friction between the trackpad surface and the fingers and thus less smooth sliding, which sometimes results in slightly jerky scrolling too.

2. Scrolling is not as fast as I'd hope but there doesn't seem to be any setting to increase the speed?!?! In the Trackpad settings I can only increase the tracking speed but not also the scrolling speed. Why?

Yes I found the need to adjust my scrolling speed when I went from an old MBA to a new M3 MBP last year. It was nice to be able to have this adjustability.
