What is a good converter to download for doing this? I have a IPOD but my wife has a MP3 player. She wants some of the stuff i have on mine but it is in the M4A format and her player wont even acknowledge it is there.

Please help!

You can use itunes. In the general preferences choose MP3 encoder in the import preferences, then select the tracks you want to convert, right click, convert selection. Done!

You can also use a program such as Switch

Thanks alot! Thats pretty easy except once they are converted, where do you find them? Did the conversion, clicked on it to get info and it still showed M4A on all the files?

Also, anyone know a way to highlight a buch of selections at once instead of one at a time using command? 198 songs takes for ever to select!

Use shift to select lots of adjacent songs.

When you convert songs, iTunes keeps the the original file and makes a copy in the format that you chose. They should appear next to original files. Select "kind" in the viewing options (CMD + J) so you can pick out the MP3's.
