It seems the Samsung 970 Pro nvme SSD is the top pick for natively compatible drives to install in Sonnet’s M.2 4×4 PCIe Card, but they only come in 1tb max size.
I'm wondering if there are any equally reliable (and OSX native-compatible w/o flashing) choices particularly in larger sizes (prob 2TB)?
I'd like to use this setup as a boot volume, and to run current projects (Lightroom and Photoshop).
As an aside, how much speed would you lose by running all four drives in RAID 5 as one volume, vs running three drives in RAID 0 for project volumes (eg a referenced 'home' folder) and one drive as a boot/system volume? I like the added safety of RAID 5, but maybe these drives are so reliable it's not needed? (I'm a photographer, not a hardware expert...)
