Hi,

Mac 6,1 & Boot Rom 127.0.0.0.0

I want to install 144.0.0.0.0 boot rom to disable Hyper Threading.

I Googled around but did not find specific way to do this.

Would appreciate any help on this issue.

I've already reinstalled Mojave and that did not help.

Thanks

Wickie

Do you have the MacPro5,1 or the MacPro6,1 (or something else)?. For MacPro5,1, the latest BootROM version appears to be 144.0.0.0. For MacPro6,1, it's (at least) 130.0.0.0.

If you have the Classic Mac Pro, which is what you list in your signature, you might want to visit the Mac Pro forum as there are certain requirements to be able to get to 144.0.0.0 (Metal-capable GPU if I recall). There are people in the forum who know a lot about the classic Mac Pro.

If you have MacPro6,1 (cylinder), make sure you're running the latest installer. If you have that and it doesn't update the BootROM, you should likewise visit the MacPro forum.
