Ok I have a PowerMac G4 connected to the internet from a router, the router connects to a hub, that hub connects, my iBook, my Mom's PC, an old Macintosh IIci (with AAUI card) and a still alive Macintosh 7500 with built-in internet. Well all thecomputers work online except for the Mac 7500 and the Mac IIci, Now the IIci hjas system 7.0.1 (bare bones)and the 7500 had system 7.5.2 (installed from the computers CD, no other apps installed except Netscape, IE, iCab, AIM ect.)

I can transfer files to and from the 7500 from my Dad's G4, but the 7500 wont notice that the same ethernet wire is carrying INTERNET! Nowe I have thought of this, I have so extra ethernet cards that work in the 7500's PCI slot, but how can I make the 7500 use it's ethernet PCI card to use the internet??? I have turned on AppleTalk and File Sharing, I can't think of what can be wrong.

Now for the Macintosh IIci

I am gonna try and update my IIci to System 7.1 instead of 7.0.1 maybe that will help. Well if you can help me I would like that :) ;) :p

Appleshare was a proprietary file shareing client back then, now it runs over TCP/IP.

A TCP/IP variant was cost likely another application that needed to be installed to seperately back then, or you can't see anything related to the internet.

Search around they'll be able to point you in the right direction as far as what you need to configure or download to get the machines working.
