My brother just bought his first Mac's. Mac Mini and MacBook Air. He also bough the latest version of the AirPort Express.
I'm helping his with the setup and we have some problems.
Mac Mini is connected to the 2.4GHZ WIFI option in AirPort Express utility with a strong WPA2 Personal password and the MacBook Air is connected to the 5GHZ WIFI option in AirPort Express utility with a different strong WPA2 Personal password.
1. Mac adress filtering is not working. With only the MacBook 5GHZ WIFI option added to the Mac adress filtering list and he can still connect his Mac Mini to the 2,4GHZ WIFI option and use the Internet.
2. "Hide SSID" in only available with the 5GHZ WIFI option?
3. In the Mac adress filtering list. Why is the preset "Unlimited" greyed out and not removable?
We have tried to reset the AirProt Express unit and we also exchanged it with a new unit from the store.
