Just acquired my first Mac computer, a macbook air at age 93. I have started using the online support info but would like recommendations for a print guide. My mac experience is limited to daily use of sixth generation Apple ipad and the old floppy disk ancients of yesteryear. Thanks.
This is a question which not only is a good one, but one which I can’t recall being asked anywhere in recent memory.
Although I lack a specific suggestion, I used a couple of search queries to narrow down titles relating to using a MacBook Air (or Pro), which is not only fairly current in scope, but is also available in a paper format (paperback or hard cover).
This comes with a couple of caveats: most appear to be self-published titles. Some may be a bit older (lacking revisions which account for the post-2020 Apple Silicon era of Macs).
Try this search
query I made on Google’s shopping portal. Also, it could be worth trying a slightly different search approach
using the Google Books feature.
Separately, there may also be titles available at local booksellers which might not be shown in these searches. It’s been over 25 years since I last worked for a book store, so I’m unsure how current today’s booksellers are with stocking tech-related titles (when so many of these tend to be sold as digital copies for use on e-reader devices like Amazon Kindles, Indigo Kobos, or even Apple iPads).
I’m not sure how helpful all this is, but hopefully it gives you a couple of useful starting points to work with.
