.mac and .me and email reply to

I sent an email from my iphone and the from address reads something like this.

xxxxxx@mac.com; on behalf of; George XXXXX [XXXXX@me.com]

Both the @mac and the @me are the same name. Is this just part of the transition from .Mac to .Me? I have 3 mail accounts on my iPhone. .mac .me and gmail. would prefer to only have .me and gmail. Any ideas?
