Mac App Store Crashing?

For some unknown reason, whenever I try to open the Mac App Store it opens for a second or so then crashes- I was using it yesterday without issue. I did also just do the last update that came out Monday, so I am not quite sure what is causing it

has anyone else noticed this today?

EDIT-so I closed my VPN connection and that got it to work-

no explanation
