Hi, I am new to the forums... I have a very big problem. My Mac App Store will not let me update my installed applications . I can purchase and install any new applications, but updates just don't work. Whenever I try to update an app or even re-download a previously purchased app, the little spinning "gear/wheel" in the top left-hand corner just keeps spinning. I have tried multiple methods including: debugging and resetting the Mac App Store, restarting my computer, repairing permissions, and I even reinstalled OSX Lion.
I have a few "cracked" mac app store applications. Does that interfere with updating? None of the cracked apps appear in the updates list, except for Angry Birds which I actually deleted a while ago. It's a very unique situation and I am extremely confused on what to do next. It appears to be an issue with my computer and not my iTunes, because I can install apps on other macs just fine.
Is there a way to completely reset/reinstall the Mac App Store? I went to the Apple Store and they tried a couple of things, but non of them worked. They said they had never seen this problem before. They suggested that I wipe my computer and reinstall from a time machine back-up. They said if that doesn't work then they will probably have to send in my computer :(
