Mac App Store requests

Is there anywhere we can make requests for certain programs to be available on Mac App Store? I understand it really is based on the developer's initiative, it's just that there's some programs (games ) that I'd really like to see on the mac app store. Perhaps would it be best to email the producers themselves?
