Mac App Store updates stuck

Dunno if anyone else is experiencing this issue, but Twitter has a recurring update that does not seem to go away. I deleted Twitter from my system using AppCleaner and the App Store still wants me to update. Any ideas?

Also, inside the App Store, if I search for Twitter it does have the option to install so it's like the rest of the App Store knows it's uninstalled, but the updates section does not.

I have the same crazy problem with twitter and I've tried EVERYTHING, manual searching with finder, using App Cleaner. Every trace of twitters existence was deleted and it still happens.

Conclusion?

No idea how to fix it...

Contact Twitter support using the provided link on the app-specific page of the Mac App Store. Or just go directly to http://support.twitter.com/

This is an ongoing issue for some months now. Mashable and Soundcloud are stuck for me.
