Mac AppStore not working?

I just bought a iMac about 2 weeks ago. I was playing around with time machine and think I may have messed up the library folder a bit :(

Everytime I open the Mac AppStore it says "Unable to find and connect to agent." I can't sign in with my apple ID or download any apps. How do I fix this?
