Could a person use a iBook G4 - Power PC for a external CD for a DOS OS.
I recently did purchase a HP Mini 1030NR for the DOS Platform, just for the ability to see what a web site looks like in IE, rather then install a nightmare on the MacBook or the iBook G4, and the price was comparable to the purchase of virus software and the XP suite and time, and to have the DOS in a contained environment.
Any way, after looking thru the DOS system i come to see that the developers over yonder by Lake Washington call for a Linux system to interact with the XP for a CD DVD drive, the Mini does not have a CD DVD drive or a HD. The Mini does have a Flash drive for it`s OS.
Why; i am doing web development and the Mini is a comparable low budget alternative that i could plug a 20 inch LCD into and also test screen resolutions and on and on. Cross platform testing. Browsers.
And if i could use the iBook G4 for a external CD Drive for the DOS OS where could i find reference for various Mac OS configurations to interact with the DOS.
Thank you.
