I just got a new mac about 2 weeks ago, and I had this pop up tell me to hold my power button to restart. This is the first time this has happened to me. It booted up fine and no question marks or anything out of the norm. What do you guys think the problem is? Thanks.

That is called a kernel panic. Its roughly equivalent to a Windows blue screen of death. Every Mac will do kernel panic at least once in its lifetime. It was probably just a simple software crash. But if it starts to happen every few days or they become common, you could have a more serious problem like faulty hardware or incompatible software.

I also noticed that after the kernel panic, I'm getting the beach ball. When I was multi-tasking in iTunes, I just simply ejected my iPod and it was frozen until I forced quit it. Any ideas if this is something related with the files in my computer?
