Hi,
I have a Macbook Pro - 13" 2012 Model ( DVD ) with 500GB HDD. I want to replace it with a 1TB SSD. Will there be any issues later?
some technician told me that If I upgraded to more than 500GB SSD then after using 3,4 months there will be issues with the board and my macbook could die also. So now I am confused what to do.
Can any one help ?
So that I can upgrade peacefully.

Just buy a 2.5" SSD and replace it.

Also... when you have the back panel off... check the ribbon drive cable carefully. These can "get worn" in the 2012 design, and when they do, the computer behaves as if the drive were broken. But it's only a bad cable.

You don't have to buy "the fastest, most expensive" SSD.
Any 2.5" SSD should do the job.

You'll need a Phillips #00 driver and a TORX T-6 driver.
BE SURE TO USE THE RIGHT TOOLS.

Go to ifixit.com to see how it's done.
It's very VERY easy.
