Mac book pro 17 hardware repair help

My 2007 Mac Book Pro 17" is about to completely fall apart. (Externally)
I need to know if the 2006 model has the same outer shell as the 2007 model. I am eyeing a decent deal on ebay ut need to be certain that the shell will fit.

It does seem, according to google images, that the two casings are the same. Are you planning to transplant your entire computer to the new casing?
