Mac Book Pro 2.6 VS 2.7

I really am just wanting to know is there any neligable difference between the 2 proccesors?

Seems to me there is not?

Any one want to add? I have on order that IM thinking of cancelling a 2.6 1TB and 460 Pro

The difference between 2.6 and 2.7 would be imperceptible, assuming everything else is equal.

the difference between 2.6 and 2.9 is 3.7%. i don't want to know what differs 2.6 from 2.7. anyways, get ready to ride the lightning

Then you've no doubt seen the comparisons of the benchmarks. The 2.7 is faster, in part because it has more L3 cache. Whether the difference will matter to you only you could know.

Well Check what other chip extensions were unlocked and it was exactly the same with the 2.7 and 2.9..

2 of the extensions for what I do for work some C++ and alot of custom VM making it was worth while the 2.7, was gonna skimp on the 1tb swap it for 512 and go the 2.9 instead but This will be my main machine again.

The 2.6 Seemingly now especially is a lacking processor.

Yeh the extensions is what made me do the change I dont think the 2.7 to 2.9 is such a massive change as it has the instructions also. VT-D etc
