Hi All,

My Mac Book pro keeps powering down. It is a late 2014 model running 10.11.6.

I've tried the shift, ctr, alt, power. And it does not work. Suggestions?

Thanks

Charlie

Try connecting an external display ..leave it connected see if it does not shut down. I have one here shuts down after 30sec. except if external display attached.

What is your "power situation" at the power-down?
Is this something that happens while on battery power?
Or does it happen even with the power supply plugged in?

My issue is resolved it was a bad LVDS cable causing the MacBook to shut off after 30sec.

It did not matter battery or Mag-safe.
