Mac Book Pro late 2008 external display issue

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has had any issues the new Mac Book Pro, im trying to use mine on an external display via the DVI adapter, and when i set it to 1650X1050 the display goes all scambled. Has anyone else had this problem or have any idea's on how to fix this?


Im thinking it could either be a driver issue or a problem with the DVI adapter

Please let me know

Are you using the 9600gt or the 9400m? have you tried both?

I use the DVI adapter with my external Dell monitor at 1650 just fine on both graphics cards.

Sounds like an issue on your machine or your adapter.

Check your monitor manual to see if it actually supports working at 1650x1050 screen resolution (it will list somewhere the resolutions it supports) not all monitors support this resolution, also check your refresh rate.

Same problem here...
I have a 1680x1050 Samsung monitor connected over VGA adapter...
The signal is scrambled (on both cards).
Any ideas?
