Mac Book Pro only works as long as any key on keyboard is held down

Its a friend of mine's. He says it didnt get too wet but it obviously did. Little sticky inside It shuts off randomly unless any key is held down on the keyboard. It's out of warrenty. I'm considering buying it if it can be fixed

Likely to need at least a new logic board, several hundred dollars.. How old is the MBP? what specs?

Looks like soda may have gotten in it. some sticky spotson the inside
