My wife and I bought back in the Fall of 2015 the Mac Book Pro (The Mid 2015) model.

It has the i7 Processor, 15 Inch Display, 16GB Memory, and a 256 Solid State Hard Drive.

Its in mint condition due to I only use it once a month when paying bills, and we still have the original box, etc. My wife hates trying to use it due to she is so used to Windows Laptops.

So with that said I am thinking of selling it, but I am not sure what is a good price to ask. I am not familiar with selling a Apple Laptop. I know they hold their value very well unlike Windows Laptops.

What could I fairly ask for and expect to sell it for. Like I said its mint condition, no scratches, etc. and used once a month for about 30 minutes at a time lol.

This was the last year of the Glowing Apple Logo.

you can install Windows on MBP and check if it's good for you/your wife, the bootcamp drivers are pretty good for this model

Meaning I can have Windows and Mac OS on the same Macbook? Can you switch between the 2?

**Edit: So I just looked on Google and found this article, Is it as easy as the steps it lists? I buy a Windows 10 Home on USB (Amazon shows its $129) and I do the bootcamp, then put in the USB for it to install Windows? This may make it so I can keep the Macbook if it gives her the full Windows experience that she wants but we can keep the quality of the Mac.

Parallels will run Windows as a Virtual Machine which means that you can run Windows and macOS at the same time. Beware that Parallels is subscription software.

Two other factors on resale value for your model: what is the processor speed (2.2, 2.5 or 2.8) and does it have discrete graphics?

I've seen these for sale locally from $950 to $1,500.

Boot camp requires booting the machine into whatever OS you want. Parallels runs Windows on top of MacOS. It appears a window in MacOS.

But honestly if she really wants windows get a Windows laptop. Dell XPS and Lenovo systems are high quality as far as hardware goes. And have the dedicated windows key that will referenced in manuals for software packages, better and more windows drivers for devices you want to plug in, etc. Some Lenovo models are also quite water resistant.

Regarding selling your MacBook. I got $1150 for my 2015 15" MBP with 16GB, dGPU, and 512 GB SSD, purchased in Spring 2016. It had a year of AppleCare left when I sold it. I had original box, all accessories, and no scratches anywhere.

I would take great photos, write out a detailed description of the barely-unused condition, and then list it on eBay with a 1-cent auction.

It is extremely unlikely that it will go for any less than its true market value. There are too many bargain hunters, parts seekers, hardware flippers, and people looking for good laptops on eBay for it to be online at a low price with no one coming in to try and bid it up.

I've sold countless phones, iMacs and laptops this way when I upgrade to new tech. Never had a problem. (Ship with a signature requirement).

Get on eBay and see what people are buying them for. On eBay, click the "Advanced" box then "Sold Listings" box and you can see what your particular computer has sold for in the past.

Ebay has too many of these, try a local internet class site.
Im looking for a Macbook Pro 2012.2013 and will pay $500-$800 depending on what is inside hardware and software wise, yours seems loaded were the next buyer does not have to add hardware on your MBP and could be worth more since the battery must be pristine. seems to me anything apple that is being offered mush cheaper than the asking price are getting grabbed by computer resellers and resold for hundreds more. like American pickers., so do not undersell if you go that route.
i hope this helps

Sounds like a gem - that said the 256 SSD is likely the hold up for a prospective buyer.
Yours is a wonderful machine to immediately pop in 3rd party NVMe drive with a SinTech adapter however.

Getting a buyer who understands the potential there may be difficult though.

I'd probably say around $1k, maybe a touch more (or less) if being fair
