So I got this Mac book pro on Christmas of 2018. It's whatever the most expensive, new version is. It is fully updated and everything. It also runs fine and is pretty quick when loading. It had has been used very little and definitely not enough to be getting as hot as it is. I run virus scans and everything at least once a week to keep everything in check and the only things I have downloaded are Logic x pro and audacity. After just about an hour or two of use, the computer gets very hot. Even on a hardwood surface. I see many people have complained about this and they take it to the apple store and they say everything's fine and to "trust the laptop." It actually does freeze sometimes. They are not bad freezes just where I'll try to exit a page or try to click record on audacity and then I have to go restart the app. It sounds nit-picky, but It makes my stomach squeeze knowing that my parents dropped huge bucks on this laptop for me and it gets this hot. The next problem I have is the speakers. This problem really frustrates me because this has been happening since day one. So I'll be on youtube or something and the speakers will randomly make this awful crackling noise. It's not like audio sounds bad it sounds more like the sound "lags" but it doesn't sound like it's any connection issues. I generally think somethings wrong with the speakers. It sounds more like when an Xbox crashes and makes that noise like the buzzer beater in basketball. I have troubleshot the issue and everything and can't find a result and want to take it to the apple store. I just wanted to see what other users thought before I did. If anyone has any solutions please let me know! I hate thinking that I have to get a whole new laptop. I did get the warranty. Thanks!

have you tried panning output fronleft speaker to right speaker? any difference?

i have a 2015 MBP and the right speaker recently became very distorted like someone punch a hole in it and left is better but not much better. haven’t had time to get it diagnosed. on the heat issue call apple at once, possibly something simple in Os screwing up. also run Activity Monitor to look for suspicious activity there’s a process that kicks in to stop it getting hot, it basically consumes CPU cycles without doing any work to cook it down. if that’s isn’t running could have issues. are the fans kicking in?
