Mac BOok Pro won't stay connected to my android phone

Hi All,
I'm not sure if it's my computer or my phone acting up but I thought I'd start with the computer.

I have a Mac Book Pro and up until a week ago I did not have this issue. I have pictures on my android HTC incredible S that I would like to download to my computer. When I hook up my phone to my computer with the usb cord I:


1. don't get the screen anymore that asks me what I want to do with this hook up (i.e. charge only, HTC sync, disk drive etc.)

2. When the phone icon finally shows up on my desk top it will disappear after less then 60 seconds of me accessing it to retrieve my photos with the message that "the disk was not ejected properly....".



I had no problems with this 7 days ago. Any idea why this is happening?

Have you tried different USB slots on the MBP. If that still fails, try changing the cable.

Most likely the cable.

Try a different one

did you install any software upgrades on the phone recently?

Btw, I let all my pictures go directly to G+. Hassle free... of course also privacy free :/
