I have a mid 2010 mac book pro and every now and then the screen goes blank then I get three Z's come up in white like its indicating it's off to sleep and it then goes into standby mode and I have to click the touchpad and enter my password to wake it up any ideas?

Have you checked the sleep time settings in energy saver under system preferences? Are you saying that you don't want it to go to sleep?

yeah its not the sleep settings when it sleeps the screen just goes black but the ZZZ's coming up sometimes happen when I'm using it not when its been sat idle for a while
