Mac Book seen on episode of West Wing

I have seen a couple of episodes of the West Wing where a MacBook would be open, but the Apple emblem on the back of the screen was upside down. . .I thought when a Mac laptop is open, the Apple is always right side up???

At that time they would be using a PowerBook G3. The Apple logo was upside down when open.

They later used Titanium G4s.

The logo was upside down on the old iBook G3's and Powerbook G3's.
