Mac book shutting down

The 2010s (like mine & yours) & the 2011's have faulty Graphics cards, which causes them to restart with a GPU panic;
it happens usually with Flash animation &/or 1080p video... they need soldering or a replaced GPU..
...it happens to me when i try to visit the Apple website (& a few others) or try to watch video over 780p resolution (sometimes)...

The mid-2010 15" actually has an underrated capacitor that causes the kernel panic when switching from integrated graphics to nVidia graphics.
Replacing the capacitor in my mid-2010 15" eliminated the gpu panics.

They posted 'solutions' on here, (& some kind of software fix) but they told to get lost when i asked for help

I came to Macrumors with the same issue and other members were quite helpful and pointed out the correct replacement capacitor to use.

No need to check or provide names. It's in the past and it's good that you were able to move on from that experience.

We're getting off topic so I'll keep to discussing the OP's issue.
Connecting a monitor requires using the nVidia graphics card. Without an external monitor, the default GPU is the integrated Intel.

You mean it powered off or it had a kernel panic?
