Hi--

My dad, when he bought his dell in 2002, ordered a 5.1 dell THX sound system with this IMMENSE subwoofer. he hates it, and i have offered to take it off his hands.... my only problem is that I am a laptop user, and that I have a PC now and will have a Mac later...so i need a PC/Mac compatible sound card. does anyone have any suggestions?

thanks

if you get a 17" pb it has optical audio out which i believe is 5.1 but cmiw; i know nothing about surround sound. err...*looks for links*
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/SonicaTheater-main.html an m-audio usb surround sound card
http://miglia.com/products/audio/harmonyexpress/index.html not quite sure but it seems to be a 5.1 usb sound card that's mac compatible. not sure what "virtual surround" is
