Mac compatible camcorders?

I'm looking for a new camcorder and on the Apple site I see a list of cameras that are compatible with Mac.

Anyone know how easy they are to transfer video, edit movies, etc?

The cameras I'm looking at are the Panny TM700 and Vixia S20/21.

Both get great reviews but I've also read mixed reviews on easy they are to work on Mac.

I'd be using my iMac with FCP.

Thoughts?

You're not going to have any problems getting any camera to work with Final Cut Pro... at least the latest version. Even the weird one-off cameras seem to work with FCP.

Both cameras you listed are AVCHD cameras, so they'll even work in iMovie.

Sorry, I misspoke.

I meant to say Final Cut Express 4.

Will the TM700 work with the FCE4?

If not, should I exchange FCE4 for FCS?

Well, the more research I did, the more I read of the TM700 not being able to work with FCE.

I don't have FCP and if I did this correctly, FCP is now only sold bundled with FCS.
