Mac-Compatible Video Effects Software?

Hi MacRumors,
I am starting to get into video editing and photography and all of that good stuff. I already know most of the software I'm using but I would like one that could do effects like in this video:

at 0:09 and other similar effects used throughout the video. So is there a program that can do that other than Adobe After-Effects, that is compatible with my mac?

I'm pretty sure you can do stuff like this in Photoshop CS5.

Photoshop is mainly for still images... like PHOTOS

Everything Adobe is compatible for mac. After effects will run just fine on it.

You'll need a motion graphics program such as Motion (comes with Final Cut Studio) or After Effects.

While it is possible to do this on a frame by frame basis with Photoshop, it wouldn't be easy. Doing this in Motion or After Effects is trivial.
