I was just wondering if there was a way to replace the waiting icon (black arrow with small black and white circle thingy) with the colored pinwheel. I think the colored pinwheel is pretty darn cool and I want to see it whenever the Mac is waiting. Anyway to do that?

Typically, you can play with the icons by control-clicking on the application, choose Show Package Contents, navigate into Contents -> Resources and looking for the icons (usually TIFF or PNG files). You just have to find the right package to edit and messing with system/root access files can be dangerous for the system.

An easier way would be to use a tool like MightyMouse.
