Hi, I recently used automator to create an "App", however, I now want to change the icon.

I know how to do this .... but want to know where the default icons for Mac OS X are held. For example, the harddrive icon that is displayed on the desktop.

Thanks in advance for any help received.

Is there a way to ADD icons to be default for different forms of media?

I want to add a Blu-ray icon and an HD DVD icon that are standard for when I have those types of disks in my computer. Is this possible?

Hmmmm ... haven't really read it all in great depth since I'm at work, but seems to me this provides links on how to create icons and how to use icons once they have been downloaded from the internet.

What i want to know is where the actual icons that OSX acctually uses are located, so i can use these without downloading anything else.

Thanks.

Well, they're not in *name*>Library>Icons;)

Don't see them in the System folder either, but I can't believe the amount of junk that's in there that I don't need.
Like .kext s I'll never use.

Found a .icns in *HD*>library>frameworks but that is mostly open base folders.

Good luck.
