In an attempt to add a second dock-style menu (for displaying commonly-used folders...) I downloaded and trialled an application called 'Dock Spaces'. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to be able to offer the use of more than one dock at one time, as I was hoping. But after I'd let it mess my dock around, it seemed to have shifted to the left of the screen instead of staying centrally in the middle.... and now I'm not sure how to put it back!

Take a look:

Rest assured, I tried all manner of clicking, both within the Dock Spaces app and within my dock's settings menu, but nothing seems to be able to shift it back to whence it came.....

Anybody know a command to 'force' it back to the middle??

And, while I'm on the subject, the whole reason I started this effort was to try and increase my productivity by getting a second 'dock' style menu that would auto-hide (preferably to the left of the screen...) normally but would then pop out when I needed to file something..... anybody know if anything like that exists??

:) Perhaps this might help?

defaults write com.apple.dock pinning -string middle

in the terminal, then: killall Dock

and that should take it back to the middle for you.
