I was planning to use the USB Scale with Stamps.com in Parallels for Mac. Well the issue at hand here is that for some reason, it doesn't show up at all inside System Profiler, which means that Parallels can't pick it up either.

Even Windows-only devices such as an old Windows Mobile phone, and a crappy scanner still picked up in System Profiler and worked in Windows despite not being supported by Mac OS. So why is this scale any different? I even got another one shipped because I thought it was broken!

Stamps.com Scale

Hi DontWalkHand,

This was definitely an issue a few months. Now all of the Stamps.com scales are both Mac and PC compatible. If you call Stamps.com support at 1-888-434-0055 (M-F, 6am - 6pm PT), they'll get a new scale sent out to you.

Also, Stamps.com has just launched a new web-based version of their postage software that allows Mac users to print postage stamps or shipping labels online (no software download required).

So you would no longer need to use Parallels.

Let me know if you have questions.
Thanks!
Eric

Important Note: Stamps.com web-based version does not work for PowerPC's or Mac OS 10.4 or earlier

Stamps.com can't handle Yosemite

So now Stamps.com has broken their software intentionally by simply not recognizing Yosemite. That seems like a bizarre decision.
