I would like to rip my DVDs to disk image. I have found Mac DVD Ripper Pro and DVDFab. The latter being extremely expensive, I would rather avoid it. My issue is that I'm unsure whether Mac DVD Ripper Pro actually creates an exact copy of the dvd or compresses it, there are two optional presets in Mac DVD Ripper Pro, 'high quality' and 'reduced file size'. Does 'high quality' imply this is not in fact a raw copy? In DVDFab it is much clearer, using a percentage indicating quality, 100% being exactly the same as the original DVD.
Both applications have the ability to rip the main movie, this is most necessary.
Simply.. does Mac DVD Ripper Pro using the 'high quality' preset rip an exact/raw/100% copy of the DVD?
