Mac email problems

I just switched from Comcast to Qwest so I switched my email to msn.com. I can send and receive emails through mail.live.com, but when I try to use Mac email or use my iphone email I get this: The SMTP server “smtp.live.com” rejected the password for user “brijul”
I'm pretty sure I'm entering the correct password, but it's not being accepted.
Help!!!!!

A quick google revealed some forum posts which state that MSN (Quest) do not support SMTP. I cannot vouch for their accuracy though.

Another forum suggests using smtp.email.msn.com as your SMTP server name.
